Bloomfield' video entry in the Indianapolis 500 Speedway's "Back Home Again in Indiana" contest
This is the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce's video entry to the Indiana Motor Speedway "Back Home Again in Indiana" contest, produced by ibsmithmedia LLC. The Chamber of Commerce entered the "Back Home Again in Indiana" Indianapolis 500 Festival competition in hopes of winning the $20,000 grand prize for their downtown Bloomfield Revitalization Project. Its goal is to win the grand prize and use $13,000 of the winnings to sponsor a summer-long revitalization program with help from Ball State University's Architecture Program. "Goose Pond: The Story of a Wetland and Its Neighbors" wins coveted Telly Award
The documentary film "Goose Pond: The Story of a Wetland & Its Neighbors" has won a national Telly Award in the nature/wildlife program category. The documentary "Goose Pond: The Story of a Wetland & Its Neighbors" was selected as a Bronze Telly Award Winner out of nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents, according to the film's executive producer and Linton native, Bill Barnes, who now lives in Charlotte, NC. Barnes, who received notification of the award late last week, is pleased with the recognition the film winning the Telly Award will bring to the area of southwestern Indiana where he grew up. The Telly Awards were founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films.
